Columbia County, AR: List of Registered Sex Offenders
Sex crimes in Arkansas are defined as "an offense arising as a result of violence during sexual engagements, lack of consent by one party to the sexual engagement, or inability of one party to legally consent to the sexual conduct" (Arkansas Court Records). Sex crime charges include rape, sexual assault, sodomy, sexual indecency with a child, statutory rape, and sexual extortion. All sex offenders in Arkansas must register for the public sex offender registry. Anyone who fails to do so will be guilty of a Class C felony.
As of November 7, 2024, there are 28 registered sex offenders residing in Columbia County, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.

Arkansas has four levels of sex offender risk:
- Level 4 (Red): Sexually Dangerous Person: individuals with sexual or violent compulsions, impaired judgment, or conditions/disorders that predispose them to committing acts of sexual violence
- Level 3 (Yellow): High Level: individuals with a history of sexual offenses or strong antisocial, violent, or predatory personality characteristics
- Level 2 (Green): Moderate Level: individuals with deviant sexual interests or behavioral patterns who may have mild or well-controlled disorders or disabilities
- Level 1 (White): Low Level: individuals with no previous sexual offenses and no strong compulsions or psychological factors impacting their judgment
